Chicago goes smoke free in 2 years and about 4 months.
Hopefully by then my fiddle playing skills will be good enough to celebrate at a seisiun.

The rest of Cook County goes smoke free in a couple months. If my fiddle playing skills progress as fast as my ambition I might find myself moving out of Chicago to the suburbs.

I have been smoke free for 36 hours now, and I could seriously rip the arse out of someone for fag. :x

djm, I take it you are trying not to smoke? If that is the case, good luck. It will be so great if you can hang on there. I haven't gotten there yet, but I sure hope you do!!!!

Okay, back to the original topic. Which is: Scotland goes smoke free at 6am tomorrow.

Hooray! This should make it much easier to quit as last time I tried the descent back into smoking started in the pub with friends who smoked.

It's going to be interesting to see how well this works. I'll find out on Tuesday I suppose when I go to watch the champions league game in the pub.

I'll be sending encouraging thoughts your way, djm. I have to say, though, that Annie's Mojo is some good stuff . . . and I suspect she's cooking up some for you!

You'll never look back. However, it certainly makes for itchy eyes and noticeably stinky clothes whenever you go to another country.

Hurrah for Scotland, it must be lovely to be able to go into a pub and see the far wall, and what a shame we sassenachs are last out of the starting gates as usual. :x

Ah well. That's another place I won't be going then.
