Bach birthday quote (suitable for all instruments..)
On this anniversary of the birth in 1685 of Johann Sebastian Bach, his take on organ playing:
"Playing the organ is nothing impressive. All one has to do is press the right keys at the right time, and the instrument plays itself."

I often wonder where he found the time to compose..or vice versa.

Yes, indeed. I mean, take into consideration that he sired 32 children with two wives... though not at the same time, he was Lutheran. Somebody who has the time to do that can't possibly be hard at work doing much of anything (apart from the obvious)... am I right in this?Nanohedron wrote:Bach was a lazy git.

As a young'un I used to go to my parents and tell them whenever I found out something interesting. Bach's progeny was one of those things. Dad said, "He must've been a polygamist." "No, he was a Lutheran," I replied. I didn't get why they laughed.Joseph E. Smith wrote:Yes, indeed.
