Anybody else notice that their will be a 6/6/6 this year? What can we expect?

Actually, Gonzo, one of my friends (Licia Kuenning) has had a prophecy from the Lord that the town of Farmington, Maine will become a New Jerusalem on that date.

(I don't believe her, of course, but I respect her prophecy.)

There is no significance, so far as I am aware, of the arbitrary number 6-6-2006.

Good point. What more significance would this date have than June 6, 1906, or June 6, 1806? I would have placed my bets with June 6 of 6 AD. Of course, there was no Gregorian calendar then.

I think they mean it could be written as 6/6/6. However, I don't know a single person who writes their dates that way. 6/6/06 is more common, and 06/06/06 isn't uncommon either. However, 6/6/6 just looks weird (as would 5/4/3 or 9/12/7 or whatever).

Even if it's thought of as 6/6/6, there's still a great mathematical and logical leap, based on an ingrained base 10 mindset, that must be made in order for that to equal six hundred three score and six.

There's a 6-6-6 every day. Two if you're in the US. 6:06:06 AM and 6:06:06 PM. I believe that's 18h06 06s or something like that elsewhere.

Now if you're talking 6-6-6-6-6-6, then 6:06:06 on 6/6/2006 would be that, which doesn't happen every day.

My college roommate used to wait for November 11 every year, and he'd sit by the clock waiting for 11:11 11/11.
