Did anyone catch Dr Who Friday night, Sci Fi channel(US)?
I didn't even pay attention to the fact that they had brought the show back, anyway, it's being shown on the Sci Fi channel on Friday nights at 9pm. Lots of odd british fun. Actually, it's easier to follow than the original, doesn't drag on for an hour and a half, and doesn't have that that cheap look the orginal suffered from. I haven't seen the original series in such a long time, they used to play it religiously on the New Jersey Network but stopped in the early 90's. I got to see the Colin Baker and Sylvester Mccoy years, as well the the first doctor. None of Tom Baker's episodes . Anyway, I'm looking forward to taping the show each week.

It sends them to the moon
Just like a big balloon

Hmm, I actually thought it was pretty lame, no depth at all. Rose is cute (Billie Piper), but that's about all it had going for it, I thought. Better that someone should re-run (the british version) of Touching Evil, now there was a good show. Of course the U.S. remake totally sucked.
Sci-Fi Channel should re-run The Prisoner, now there's entertainment!

I saw an article in the paper about it and meant to watch, but forgot.
I understand this Doctor is only in for one season, and that the second season episodes currently showing in England have some other actor. I think the business about Time Lords being able to regenerate and look completely different is one of the neatest ways to let a different actor play the same character - much better than just replacing someone (like Darren on the old Bewitched) and not saying anything.
Will try to remember to watch next week.

I've seen the whole series. About all I can say is that the episodes written by Russel T Davies tend to annoy me greatly for a variety of reasons, but the other writers' episodes I thought were all fairly decent. Keep an eye out for "The Unquiet Dead" and "Dalek" later on.
I will go ahead and warn that the series finale will be highly disappointing to anybody with an appreciation for well-written plots. Another RTD one...
I've seen one episode, "The Christmas Invasion" with the next doctor, played by David Tennant, and I think he'll be very good, even better than Eccleston. He actually feels like the Doctor of the old series instead of some emo-boyish knockoff.
