Burke composite

Post by carrie »

I know this is a little forward, but would anyone be willing to make me a very short term loan of a Burke composite whistle in any of the high keys--D, Eb, C? I will pay insured postage both ways, keep it no longer than a day, and send you a Generation back with the Burke if you'd like. Hope this doesn't seem out of line. I don't know how else to try one out. PM, please, if willing.

Thanks!

I've got an aluminum I'd be more than willing to let you try for a while. But that's not what you asked for. :)

Hehe, well actually, I was wondering about those too, though I do have several of the lower key Burkes in aluminum. I would be curious....thanks for the offer! PM to come.

If you want to ditch your Gens...send them here.

I'll look after them.

Dubh, are you kidding? I'm not parting with mine either--I'd pick up a new one at my friendly neighborhood Hogeye Music store, whose slogan I have always loved: 50 Years Behind the Times.

Still interested in trying a composite if there are any willing lenders out there.
