Happy St. Pats everyone.

I got a 10% SPD discount in a pharmacy today. It was on all non-prescription items and not just the hangover cures. :D

Ah, the Chicago River (I think). Funny, I do not know why they dye it every year, its normal color is green.

Happy one to you too Dub!
As my girls headed out this morning, wearing carefully selected green accents, I (in my typical curmudgeonly manner,) pointed out that their only ancestors from Ireland were Protestand encroachers, there at the encouragement of the King.
But you know, there's always the chance that one of those distant relatives way back then mixed it up with a real Irishperson--so maybe there is a drop of green in our blood...might as well make the assumption, today anyway!

Walden, you are so ingeneous. Thanks for the beautiful cyber-card.

Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone

I will play "Road to Lisdoonvarna" and "Swallow Tail Jig" on the fiddle. That might attract some unseen guests in my apartment.

I no longer celebrate holidays due to religious reasons, but I find myself sitting here in the library wearing a green shirt nonetheless, lest I get pinched. This is the only holiday in Western society where if you don't participate to some degree, you're threatened with physical violence.
