Tell us something.: I've picked up the tinwhistle again after several years, and have recently purchased a Chieftain v5 from Kerry Whistles that I cannot wait to get (why can't we beam stuff yet, come on Captain Kirk, get me my Low D!)

This is not the weirdest or the stupidist album cover but it's pretty stupid. I never did get the mask thing but the top is supposed to represent free wheeling I guess. I saw the album several times in a record store and paid no attention to it. I didn't know who Ted Brown was. Finally I looked closer and saw that Warne Marsh and Art Pepper were on it so I broke down and bought it. It was a pretty good album. Looking this up threw me into an absolute frenzy of nostalgia and I spent a considerable amount of time looking up Ted Brown and Warne Marsh at Amazon. Also because of a chain of associations I looked up David Stone Martin album covers and Jazz at the Philharmonic program covers.

Although none of his album covers, as such, really do him justice, this image works pretty well. This performer is Bob Log III, who records for Fat Possum Records. Plays a very raunchy, blues-influenced rock. As far as I know, he never performs without his helmet. There's a mic in there, evidently.
Dr. Strangley Strange were an Irish band from way back. I don't remember a lot about them but I think they were an acoustic based hippy band with more than a nod in the direction of the Incredible String Band.
That was a blast from the past....
Slan,
D.
And many a poor man that has roved,
Loved and thought himself beloved,
From a glad kindness cannot take his eyes.
It's not a weird title, but I have spent hours back in the day, studying this cover/listening to the album-
edited to add-
I loved this album- especially The Man In the Jar(he wanna get out, he's smashing the glass.....)
That guy on the left in green and yellow was a bit too freaky.
