Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

-people asking "Now how is that different from the bagpipes"
-people asking me questions right in the middle of a tune. I cannot play and talk at the same time. I am not alone in that, methinks.

There's more, I'm sure.

Jokes like the following:
  • I have a dog. Named him Peeve. When I walk him, I tell people, "This is my pet, Peeve."

How about this one..........people who make fun of nice people who cannot for the life of them figure out how the hell to say Uilleann....even once they have been told.

Besides, some pipes sound like Youleeann pipes in the first place and do not deserve to be clasified as Uilleann pipes. So there!

Tom, I can't talk and play at the same time either. I don't think those attributes or abilities were handed out to either of us on that particular day in July in 1961. Or, maybe they were but we were in the wrong line to get them.

I agree with this too. I used to get this when I played the piano. A little easier, for some reason with the guitar. One thing I don't have to worry about when I play the GHB's though. :D

This reminds me of my kids. When I am talking on the phone they always have a sudden urge to talk to there dad, very insistently. Very annoying.
