friend with illness

Post by Walden »

A longtime friend of our family has come down with a mysterious illness. In the past few days his kidneys have ceased functioning, and he is turning yellow, and is covered from head to toe with purple, pus-filled pustules. He is having panic attacks and seeing things. When he closes his eyes he sees tunnels with rivers. He's in the hospital, and the doctors don't know what's causing his condition. He won't receive visitors for fear they'll catch whatever it is he's got. He believes he is dying.

He could use kind thoughts and prayers.

I will definitely pray for him. That sounds so awful.

Could you PM me his name (just his first name is fine) and I'll ask prayer groups I'm connected to to pray for him as well.

I can't imagine how terrifying this experiece must be. I certainly hope they can figure out what is wrong with your poor friend. I will be thinking of him.

Please keep us updated. Your friend will be in my thoughts...

That sounds just terrible, Walden. I do hope things improve. My thoughts are with him.

I wonder if he has two conditions. Some of what you described sounds a bit like severe psoriasis but it clearly goes way beyond that. Anyway, I'm sure the doctors would have thought of anything I could come up with.

Horrific business, I'll be wishing him well.

How scary!
It's bad enough to be ill but to be ill with such terrifying symptoms and not know the cause. Let us know what happens. And in the meantime, beaming good vibes down your way...

Prayers, strength, comfort and healing thoughts his way... May his soul triumph.

Thoughts going out to him.

I assume the doctors have ascertained his recent movements in case he could have come into contact with a foreign disease or something like that.

Fingers crossed.
