Elton John's Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting might be a good one.
Or if you wish to be somewhat more traditional, a good Rebel song (e.g. Fields of Athenry) may be in order.
When I'm alone, I tend to play whistle while doing other things: watching TV, listening to the raidio - even reading (if the book's not too heavy). My problem is that I'm so use to just picking it up and playing while I'm concentrating on other things that I sort of have the habit of playing while having conversations with people. Now, I've done this for years around musician friends who do the same thing with me, and none of us have every even thought about it, but I've recently clued into the fact that non-musician friends (especially my girlfriend) don't like it. For some reason they think I'm not listening to them! I am listening, of course, but I do see their point. So I'm a reforming conversational whistler!

Brilliant! I'll have to try it myself.
Don't have any suggestions for songs though... I'll get back to you on that.
Anywhere in the house or within 500 yards of my family before 10 am, even WITH my Hoover whitecap which is so quiet the neighbor's dog can't hear it. I'm a morning person.
My entire family hates me before 10.

1) Public Restrooms
(This is also true of the harmonica, however tempted you may be)
2) Between the Caesar salad and the Chicken Parmagiana
3) 3 AM on your ex's doorstep hoping he/she will take you back
I'm drawing a blank, help me out here . . .
I'm guessing your 'ex' didn't take you back then?
She did, but I'm afraid my habit of absentmindedly whistling during our times of intimacy has turned her against me for good. Nothing like a good hornpipe to . . . oh, never mind.
thanks. elton john's saturday night's alright for fighting is definitely on my list to memorize. i'm not big into itm and believe that the only 2 itm songs i know are "popeye the sailor man" and "danny boy."
i've come to believe that whistles cause way more trouble than flutes.

I once played in a Pipeband with a guy who pulled his pipes out and gave everyone a tune 3 drunken hours into a flight from Toronto to Glasgow. The band was headed to the World Pipe Band Championships, and I guess he was getting eager. Needless to say, the flightcrew were not impressed!
well. if we're just talking theoretical here:
1. in the confessional booth
2. during last rites
3. during your parents last rites
4. while hiding from a serial killer.
