Flute making machine
Flute making machine
It's not red but it acts just like a lath with a cross drill.

It is very easy to turn on and off. One switch for the lath and one for the drill. Just don't try to use both at the same time.Unseen122 wrote:Does it "do all the work, so I don't have to?"

- Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free - Location: Loren has left the building.

- Tell us something.: I restore 19th century flutes, specializing in Rudall & Rose, and early American flutes. I occasionally make new flutes. Been at it for about 15 years.

I should have seen this before I shelled out $300 on a Rotary table!Tommy wrote:

That machine pictured above looks way too complex for my tastes. You might try my simplified version, pictured below. I think Home Depot, Sears or WallMart sells these.

Well Casey, I am glad you finely finished customizing that lathe you have in your shop! Where do the finished flutes pop out?Casey Burns wrote:That machine pictured above looks way too complex for my tastes. You might try my simplified version, pictured below.
