A big howdy from me too.

Post by Walden »

I've posted some, already, but thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself, belatedly.

I'm Walden. I've played whistle off and on since about 1994 or so.

I live in Northeast Oklahoma, and am a 6th generation native there, though I've lived in other parts of the state as well, and also spent a few years in the Philippines.

I'm glad to get to know you folks.

Hi Walden. I hope you like it here.

Just in case you are in business, be careful to keep commercial posts strictly within the guidelines.

If you have any other questions, just do a search of the archives.

I've never been to Oklahoma. Is the state as good as the musical?

Hi Walden; welcome. Please be advised that should you have any questions regarding chiff or other technical aspects of whistling or if you should seek opinions as to which whistle to try next, rather than burdening the Board with new threads, check for prior threads using the search function first. Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation, and, once again, welcome to the Board.

Hi Walden! Welcome to the Whistle Forum. Always nice to finally notice an old face! As others have mentioned, we have pretty much already talked about every possible topic so there's really no need to post at all.

Amar, you must be new to C&F. You should lurk a bit and get a feel for the place before you go calling folks "crazy". A little research would reveal that our undisputed host doesn't like us to discuss the mental state of others.

Hmmm... suspicious post? ... impersonation? ... style duplication... ??

Nahhhhhhh... Glad to meet you, Walden.

Hi, Missy! I remember you from E D!

Not always.

At times it's more like,
  • Curs and mangy cats in the surrey,
    Hydrophobic bats from Missouri,
Flea-infested rats in the surrey with the fringe on top!
Fry an egg on the street by the surrey,
Brr! it's getting cold with snow flurry,
Cyclone blowin' away all the surreys with the fringe on top.

Hi Walden!

Moon, you have got to have the record for the lowest post/day ratio. You joined in 2002 and have less and 100 posts. That's pretty impressive.

Well thanks Erik..it does take some work to keep the post count down but having won the "Infrequent Poster of the Year Award" last year I have that added incentive. Some have been alarmed at my sudden increase in posts of late but I have reassurred them that it's just a temporary thing brought on by excessive sugar ingestion at this time of year (Christmas cookies and other evil sugar laden things) I hope to be back to my memorably unmemorable poster status in the new year.....;)

Howdy neighbor. I like your strategy for keeping Oklahoma to ourselves  (Ya'll know there really is nothing here, just stay home, ok?)

Hey Walden, your little avatar gif is great.
