Favor re my wife's surgery...Updated post-op

Post by brewerpaul »

Charlene's surgery went very well yesterday according to her Doc. It took about 2.5 hr, which is typical for a laparascopic gastric bypass. As of last night she had considerable pain, mostly due to the air which is used to inflate the abdomen during surgery: they suck most of it out but some remains which needs to be absorbed and passed.

If any of you feel so moved, I know she'd appreciate some get well e-cards and greetings. Her e-mail address is VDODILI at aol.com
Please arrange them to arrive AFTER the surgery. Many thanks.

Thanks for all of the good wishes you've sent already.

(in case you're interested in that e-mail address, it's biblical. In Song of Songs, there's the famous line "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine". In Hebrew, that's "Ani l'dodi, v'dodi li")

Will do too! Good thoughts and music (well as "good" as I can get it) are with her.

I might just send her some thing, I tend not too do well in sympathetic situations though.

Tell us something.: Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Part of what I love about celtic/folk style music is the sound of a handful of handmade instruments that remind me of simpler times.

Paul,

I've got it written down as a reminder. I'll be praying.

Ah! Well, you're in luck! Today, there are wonderful e-feelings which have been designed by persons who excel in sympathy, warmth, and humor.

They're wonderful. All you have to do at the end is write something like "Get well soon!" or "Hope you're back on your feet soon!" Or, you can just sign your name.

You'll see! Try Hallmark at www.hallmark.com. They have something for everyone and selecting your card is hugely fun.

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

Best wishes for a Speedy Recovery

Post by Kansas »

Glad to hear that it went so well. I'm sure with you at her side the discomfort will soon subside. Glad if our messsages have been of help. You remain a favorite contributor and a fine whistle maker. A great help to me due to both of those contributions. And a heck of a nice guy on top of all that.

Let us know how she is progressing when you can.
Spend all your free time with her.
No whistling 'till all is well.

May her recovery be swift, I know she is in good hands with you.

:) Your love for each other will keep you going strong even in the worst of times. Do play music for her often, it is proven to soothe the soul and speed up recovery. It helps the body to heal. :)

:sniffle: My best wishes to you both in this difficult time. :sniffle:
