Morning!

Well it's afternoon here actually but you get my drift.

Ermm, bagpipe content, bagpie content...
Has anybody tried fitting a reed to the bell of a chanter? Maybe it would sound like the belowing noise the tripods make in the new War of the Worlds (best performance in the film if you ask me!).

Wait...performance? You mean all that wasn't REAL?! DAMNIT! Hollywood got me again. I thought that nice young man had a strange resemblance to one Mr. Maverick from a show I once saw. Damn fine pilot too. Apart from killing his buddy by shooting him up into the glass bubble thingy. But apart from that DAMN fine pilot.

Top Gun, ercckk. That's a gayer film than your average John Waters production.

Just so I'm clear, does this also mean that Top Gun is gayer than the collected directorial works of Jim Sharman (or, taking cue from your avatar, Buddy Cole)?

Everybody knows the REAL stars of Top Gun were the F-14s, A-4s, and F-5s! The only reason to watch that movie is the AIRPLANES!! :D

LOL!!! Thats a good one! And yes, Piper manufactures propeller driven aircraft. As a matter of fact, I learned to fly in a Piper! Great airplanes!

Say, what WAS this thread about, anyway?

That photo it cropped too tightly - is that "Mission Accomplished" banner still hanging on the tower of the carrier?
It's true that you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar - but a big, steaming pile works best of all.

I really don't know, I just thought I'd add to the mess. But pudinka's signature seems to have a great bag seasoning recipe.

Who is that a picture of anyways, Kevin? I know you had a cropped picture of who I thought was Doc Brown/Christopher Lloyd.

Actually, its a screenshot from a flight simulator program. I always wanted to see if the catapult on a super carrier could handle a Boeing 727!

Don't mind me.....I'm easily amused.......and I crack myself up, too!
Not a bad combination, I guess.

YES!! Me too, the Archer II! I loved that airplane, and I will forever be a low-wing man. I flight instructed in Cessna's for a few years, and while I got good at flying the high-wing, I never came to like it as much. Good thing my Boeing is a low-wing!

Cheers Glands!!

just noticed that the right nose wheel is in the catapault track and airdale that is doing the run up is WAY behind the cockpit ;-) Other than that, an interesting Jimmy Doolittle kinda moment

Sorry to hear that. Let's see........ How about four calico kittens and two stuffed geese? That's my final offer.
