Christmas Carols, anyone?

Post by Redwolf »

I set this site up last year, and thought folks might enjoy it again this year.

I have another song or two I hope to add to it over the coming weeks.

Well we should, doggone it, don't you think?

I remember there was a tentative plan for a bunch of us to go Christmas busking in the City last year, but it fell through.

Maybe we all ought to descend on Santa Cruz. This city could use some decent buskers!

I'd love to, but realistically I probably won't have time until January. Right now all my weekends are taken up with work, studying, and wedding preparations.
I'm wondering when the next C & F party will be...We should have a New Year's party in January or something...

That's true...we're about due for one, aren't we?

I could host one here, but parking might be a bit of a bear, and probably most people wouldn't care to drive over the hill. Still, that's one possibility.

Failure is NOT an option - it comes bundled with the software.

LOL! I wrote those out when I was first getting used to using Finale, and I couldn't think of another instrument that was close. Now when I do this kind of thing, I use vocal parts and just choose "soprano."

Excuse the ignorance, please, but what kind of notation is that? I've never seen it before.

Thanks!

Thanks for the site. We were just trying to work up some Christmas music to sneak into a couple of sets.

One request: could you change the color of your font to maybe a darker red? My eyes freak out after staring at the page for a bit. :o :D

Huh? It's just standard notation.

Montana, I should tone down the red, but I can't find the *%$# password for the site in order to change things. I'm hoping I'll remember it soon, as there are a couple I want to add as well.

I opened a couple of the PDFs and didnt' see anything unsual either..It should be noted that you need the Adobe Acrobat reader installed to see them. Otherwise, you probably just get garbage in your web browser. ;)

That's really weird. It looks like normal dots to me. What version of
Adobe Acrobat Reader are you using (or do you use something else
to open .pdf's)? I'm using ver. 5.0.5, and have no problems...

(I thought Carol was making an ironic "dots-vs.-ears" remark... D'oh)
