The courage and dedication of our young (and older!) military personel is always inspiring to me. I fully trust that most are eager to serve in honesty and courage. I wish I trusted that their dedication were fully matched and appreciated by those who hold the dice in the games of politics and war. I wish your son the very best, in fulfillment of his own dreams and yours, and with prayers that he will not be asked to use his loyalty to his nation in service of a lesser cause. Bless him and all who serve.

Certainly. An achievement is an achievement, and your lad must have been working hard.missy wrote:...

I hope he stays safe throughout his career.
Well done, that man.

Congratulations to a fine young man and his proud Mom!
There's that underware again.

Congrats Missy. It's heartwarming to see a proud parent. I went to bootcamp at Great Lakes. Back in the day.
I'm no longer trying a new posting paradigm

He's already planning how he can get "known" and all and get his next test under his belt.
Missy: Congratulations, he sounds like a fine young man, which says something not only about him, but also about his parents and other family.
Tell him well done from me, and remind him that in the Navy, as in many other walks of life, the best and quickest way for him to get "known" is to do his job better than the other person, and to become a sailor that his bosses know will get the job done when they as, no matter what the task. It took me some time to figure out that when I was given a task by my LPO or Chief, that there was normally some good reason for it, even if I didn't see it at the time.
All the Best, Tom
