Through the forums I have been exposed to so many aspects of ITM, and other traditional musics too, that I had never encountered before. I have had a lot of fun here too. Thank you for providing this opportunity for nothing. I still can't figure this out actually. But hey, I'm not complaining!

- Tell us something.: Long ago, I was told that I faked iTrad whistle work very well. I took that comment to heart. 20 years of private lessons - and many, many hours of rehearsal later - I certainly hope I have improved...

Dale: My first ever message concerning whistles was sent to you, so many years ago...You answered with wisdom and humor, and started me on my whistle path. C+F is the best cyber place I go. I have learned much, and have made many wonderful long-distant friends. It is because of you...
Enjoy your Copeland.
Thank you...

I can honestly say, Dale, that you have changed my life. Once, I was just a normal zhlub, dragging myself thru an unchanging, dreary, beige landscape of life. I stumbled on your site and became transformed.
Now, not only do I now have more whistles than I can carry, as well as fifes, flute-like objects and a stray ocarina, I also have a couple of wonderful flutes all of which I cannot play worth a poo. Recently an obsessive desire to take up the hammered dulcimer has come over me ( perhaps I need a musical instrument which, even if I cannot play it, I can hit with a hammer). I have been driving around town with Uilleann pipe music wailing. When I pull up to a light, hip-hoppers roll up their windows and pretend to ignore me.
With your unwitting encouragement I have embarked on a descent into WhOA, IrTrad, madness, degeneracy and Celtic festivals.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Dale.
Enjoy the Copeland.
Roger

I've put together a little thing to thank you all for this beautiful gift.

Alas, no clips. (Yet.) I really have to buy a microphone one of these days.
