Oh, bless your soul for remembering!
I still celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving, despite the fact that I live in the States of 'Merica.....
I make sure those around me know why I'm celebrating too
(I also make my family celebrate Canada Day too!!! )

He's Canadian all right,Congratulations wrote:Now, wait just a minute. I knew the rest of them were Canadian, but Leonard Cohen?dubhlinn wrote:I give thanks to Canada on a regular basis.
Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, K.D.Lang and who could ever forget Laughin' Lenny Cohen.

There are many more who I've omitted, but there is no offence intended to the Gordon Lightfoot, Holly Cole or Tommy Chong fans out there

Would you pass on the extra opportunity for a humungous meal and celebration?OnTheMoor wrote:You just want two thanksgivings House!Tyler Morris wrote:Oh, bless your soul for remembering!

Thank you Charlene, I think this year a lot to be thankful for, my health, and the fact that I haven't had to experience the disasters of this world in the past year.
It's to bad that the Leafs and Detroit Red Wings don't meet on scheduled basis this year, it would be great to stomp on the "make me laughs!", then I thank my lord that I don't need anything Toronto in my life!

My father-in-law was born in Canada, although he was adopted at a young age and grew up in Ohio. And my mother-in-law lived in Canada for about 15 years as a child, although she was born in the US and never became a Canadian citizen. Funny thing is they met in Washington state.
My husband and daughter went to Ontario this summer for a family reunion for his father's side of the family. I couldn't go because I started a new job this spring and won't get a vacation until next year.
Also, I know a couple of other Canadians so I kind of keep track of things up that way.
Makes much more sense to have a harvest festival/thanksgiving celebration in October rather than November anyway!
