The pleasure was all mine. Perhaps you will be able to retire early.

Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

...and I'll need to get another one of his cds. Cha-ching! 5!

In the interest of catapulting David's career to stratospheric heights, I gave my copy to the local public radio station.

You'll never make it to Hawaii with that attitude. Screw them all. Screw them good!

I don't know about Hawaii, but check out the cruise I'm going on with my wife and kids on the 22nd of January when it will be cold and frigid in the north-east!

Wow. They could also call it the 'Clancy Cruise' and it'd fit! ;) And David, not only do you get to go on this fine trip - but I bet they're giving you at *least* five bucks to do it?! You lucky sod!

Although, I'm sure there are some (read: all those poor wives) who would think that seven days on a boat filled with nothing but Irish music and no alternative but to jump in the shark infested waters below would be a certain kind of hell...

Still...I wonder if the floating tionól is headed in this direction. Can they fit a cruise ship that big up the Thames? :D

On the original topic, I had a blast at the concert/workshop/session.

Just to add-the workshop, though a bit odd with two flutes, a bunch of pipers, some fiddlers, and a banjo player, was well worth it. I think we take our ornamentation/articulation choices for granted - the workshop was a great reminder to investigate the musicality of our playing on a constant basis.

And David might just make a half-decent fiddler shortly too!

Looks like a great time, David. You seem to be the only piper listed. At least there will be some real ITM amongst all the Paddy Whack stuff. :D
