If this is the only song you've heard with Fergie, then you don't know what
you're missing. The other stuff she sings about is far less slutty. I was very
surprised when I heard "My Humps". It really isn't their style. I blame the
record company. I mean, it's not even clever, like Kelis' "Milkshake", or
erotic like Christina Milian's "Dip It Low", which have similar subject matter.

On the CD "Elephunk", Fergie is put to much better use, especially on the
song "Shut Up", which is about the death of a relationship... a far cry from
singing about her bodily features.

I've heard a few of their songs, but I can't specifically remember which ones.

Yup... How bout Prince in 1984 with "Darling Nikki", which explicitly talks about self pleasuring, and basically is a song about a woman who likes to pick strange men up and have sex with them. And then there's ZZ Top which came out with "Tube Snake Boogie" and "Pearl Necklace" in 1981.

Back in the '50s, we had "Work With Me Annie" (cleaned up and morphed into "Dance With Me Henry"), followed by "Annie Had a Baby". Still, I was a bit surprised the first time I heard the Divinyls doing "I Touch Myself" on MTV.

"Like a Virgin" is 20 years old this year. It was a bit of a shock to us elderly folks when it came out.

Heck, I was even surprised by a movie title like "The Spy Who Shagged Me".

Looks like we aren't going to be able to keep sex a secret for much longer. :sniffle:

Wake Up Little Suzie wasn't really BAD was it? Or am I really that naive??

:-? :-? :-? I'm still back on the first page, here, folks. Wait . . . let's roll back a bit . . . I didn't think Wake Up Little Suzie was bad, either, Izz. They fell asleep at the drive-in . . . they didn't even make out, apparently. An unfortunate circumstance.

I just never understood why the folks at the movie didn't wake them up after the show ended.

And, another thing . . . how come when Izz professes naivete it's ok, but when I don't get something it's a freakin' criminal offense? Hmmm?

Actually, I have a bit more problem with lyrics along the lines of what Eminem writes ~ once I heard some of "Slim Shady" I told my son (who loves it) that I was worried he'd become a serial killer......

Of course, that's not gonna happen, and the boys know I'm teasing them, but still......

Yeah, things really haven't changed much. In that show, once, Charlie had a backache. One of the angels asked him if he was gonna be okay. He said he'd ordered a masseuse and (this is a direct quote), "With a little manipulation I'll be as erect as ever."

Well, no. But I am certain that Dub's middle name is Mary.

(Haha...picking on him while he isn't here is fun. ;))

Mary was also Herbert Hoover's alter ego.
