Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

"How I satisfied my ThOA"

"Why do we all pick on the M**g synthesizer players?"

I think the whistle is used in a whole lot more new age music than the theramin.

Do they have their own board? Tube and Rheostat?
I just got around to watching "Ed Wood" for the first time. The DVD extras include someone demonstrating a theramin. I mean, who wouldn't want to make music (or something like it) by waving your hands around in the air?

Yeah, but with live musicians, actually responding is always optional. :D

Let me ask you something Lambchop...

Does the slope on your forehead match that of the blade in your windway? Do you find that you have to constantly pick dirt out of your whistle because you accidentally let it drag the ground alongside your knuckles?

Bring on the crustless cucumber sandwiches and Ex-lax baby! I bet clewless neanderthal losers like you sup on roast coon legs and possum' gizzard gravy...

LOL! STFU!

Ah, S.B. here's a clue for you!

lambs are not clewless...
lambs are potential generators of clews...

unless you meant the sail type of clew,
in which case you are clueless.

 S.B.O'Gill I feel it only fair to warn you that Lamby carries semiautomatic weapons in her flute case.

Hehe, I once bought a theremin from Bob Moog himself. No kiddin'. Imagine my surprise when he answered his own phone!

Hey, while we're off topic, watch this:

it's the 20th century in a box.

we now return to our regularly scheduled programming.

BTW I think even top quality recorders sound funky. I don't think it's just the plastic, I just don't care for that tone. No offense, mind you...

"A documentary about the amazing life of Leon Theremin, inventor of the theremin, the electronic musical instrument so beloved of 50s sci-fi movie music. Theremin amazed America with his instrument until his kidnapping by Soviet agents in the mid-30s. Upon his release from a labor camp, he worked on surveillance devices for the KGB. Almost 60 years later , he is brought back to America for a touching reunion with his friends and colleagues."

WHAT???? :boggle:

Okay, I'm only going to say this one more time. Some time ago BigDavy sent me a track called Mohaghan's Jig from some old Old Blind Dogs album. It is played on the recorder he says. I just don't think anyone would find anything not to like there.

LOL, you guys don't want to hear me play. I'm a rank novice.

I have Hot Coss Buns mastered now!! LOL!!

Seriously, I could probably >almost< play McPhereson's well enough that somebody who knew it could tell what I was playing without me telling them!

I could probably toot out the Star Wars Cantina Band Song for you if you insisted though! LMAO!!
