Tropical storm Rita is going to skirt southern Florida and turn into a hurricane in the gulf. I sure hope it doesn't go north.

I told Tom and Dave to listen to the reports - since they are gonna be Biloxi trying to help some friends, they don't need to be IN a hurricane! :o

That really sucks.

Over the last few years it seems like there have been multitudes more hurricanes than usual and that they've been stronger than usual, too. And people still try to say that global warming doesn't exist? It's kind of fitting (and predictable) that most of the politicians who say it happen not to live in New Orleans or Florida!

As I recall prior to 2003 there were fewer hurricanes then average for a couple years. According to the meteorolgists that was the cause of the drought in Georgia and much of the SE U.S.

I could be wrong.

Where is Fubar?
Fubar is an abreviation for "F***ed Up Beyond All Recognition". It is a popular military phrase.

There are women in the military, but you can't have sex with them because they don't live in the same areas as men.

Yes, I know I'm stating the painfully obvious.
