That headdress has been starched, my good man! And it is no simple thing to keep it looking in tip top shape. The least little bump can cause it to lose its shape. Thus the headdress protection ring that you see encircling the angel's head. A lot of effort goes into maintaining the proper appearance of an angel.

What the hell is wrong with you? Don't you see how pretty those wings are?SteveK wrote:When an angel is flying up to heaven up in the sky, what good are its wings once it gets out of the earth's atmosphere? Actually, what good are the wings anyway. Can't they just fly like Superman or Captain Marvel? They don't need wings.

(Sigh). That's a special neck halo. You heathens are driving me crazy. I'm bringing back Pope Tom.s1m0n wrote:And why is the angel's tie magically tying (or untying) itself?

my dad's oldest sister said that she saw her guardian angel sitting at the foot of her bed before she died. she was 17, and she died during the flu epidemic shortly after world war 1. i was taught to believe in a guardian angel when i was little in catholic school. it's a nice thought really. that someone cares enough to be with you and protect you. real or not it's comforting. for me anyway.
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!

Well, yeah. That's why people keep labelling 'em one way or the other. C'mon, they're angels, fercryinoutloud. They're beyond sex. Just like I'll be some day.DaleWisely wrote:Aren't they all, really?djm wrote:That's a rather androgynous looking angel, to boot.

Look a wee bit closer....the look on the girl's face is clearly one of malice. That smile doesn't fool me. And I'm almost certain that she is attempting to use the whistle as a weapon to hit poor Ian in the head...you can tell because of the angle she is holding it, and the gleam in her eye. Heck, I'll bet she doesn't even know how to play!!!!!!Cynth wrote:*sigh* No. Actually, it is the little girl who is saying "Guard Ian, angel." ---you can see her gesturing toward the angel with her whistle as she gives her instructions.
