The Ashes - Man of the Series
Shane or Freddy?

Fair point. I never undertood the whole "Pietersen v. Thorpe" thing, when the answer was so obvious: play both, and let Bell go back to his county.Martin Milner wrote:Bell for somehow getting selected ahead of Thorpe, and staying in the team the whole series despite being almost completely useless throughout. That's true class.
Duh.

Statistics say Warne wins clearly but I voted for Freddie. He just seemed to do decisive things more often. That they were decisive had to do with the efforts of those around him; had Australia won the series (as opposed to only drawing them which they didn't succeed in doing) then Warne would have been man of the series unquestionably on the same performances.

Re: The Ashes - Man of the Series
I couldn't chose. If both teams hadn't had their Goliath to strike fear into the hearts of the opposition then the series wouldn't have been the same.oscartherabbit wrote:Shane or Freddy?
At the end of the day, it was Kev who saved our asses...
Couldn't pick a man of the series - there were too many of 'em.

If Freddie and Shane were girls, which one would you rather sleep with?
Any better? No, hang on... this is Amar we're talking to. The words 'can' and 'worms' spring to mind.
Amar, disregard this post...
