I'm giving up whistling.

Post by Phil Hardy »

Hi guys,I have just had my first MICROLIGHT flying experience and have decided to give up whistling.
If you have tried MICROLIGHTING you'll know why.

Couldn't you just do both at the same time?
And whether the blood be highland, lowland or no.
And whether the skin be black or white as the snow.
Of kith and of kin we are one, be it right, be it wrong.
As long as our hearts beat true to the lilt of a song.

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

Tell us something.: I've picked up the tinwhistle again after several years, and have recently purchased a Chieftain v5 from Kerry Whistles that I cannot wait to get (why can't we beam stuff yet, come on Captain Kirk, get me my Low D!)

You're going to give up a relatively inexpensive hobby for a relatively expensive one? You're off your meds :P :D
No, seriously, good luck!
A buddy and I built one back in what we call our "sh*t twenties" out of an old porsche 911 turbo engine...the engine ended up being a little bit heavy.... :o

Get one that has floats!

BTW, I don't think whistles are an 'inexpensive hobby' for Phil.

Maybe it's just me, but I think I'd only give up the whistle if the little plane I was flying in crashed ;)

If I could figure a way to afford an ultralight, I'd give up whistles in a heart beat!

We are evolving toward Beyond Thunderdome. This is an early warning.
