Ah, but counterpositively, there are millions of people on the Internet, and some of them are bound to stumble across the Pub via non-whistle-related means. If a whistler were to link a political discussion from their personal blog, there are people who might click on it, and join in, without ever realizing what the rest of the forums are about.

Not that there's anything to be done about THAT... without having membership be contingent on passing a playing test, or something.

Tell us something.: I've picked up the tinwhistle again after several years, and have recently purchased a Chieftain v5 from Kerry Whistles that I cannot wait to get (why can't we beam stuff yet, come on Captain Kirk, get me my Low D!)

Ha! We caught you!! you will now be relegated to the Poseur Forum until you can pass an advancement test and are found worthy of entry into the Pub level of the Whistle Lodge. :P
Your Poseur Level apron and regalia can be purchased from the gift shop :D

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

Oh mercy! Many of us have serious audition anxiety to the point that the merest mention of anything remotely resembling one causes our hearts to beat faster and our breathing to become shallow. :o :o

Dont worry this isnt a video forum (yet). Just get somebody else to sit the test for you.

Because, dear friend, forums turn into steaming piles of sh*t without moderation.

"Not here", you say, "we're all level headed enough to keep it cool."

You see, without moderation, trolls will creep in. All of the threads will be about finging poo and lichen. You doubt, I know your mind.

Look in horror at the future of a board without moderation:

Oh, I dunno, Bush bashing, Michael Moore and Mini-Coopers...Just like here!!

Just kidding...but I do think it's ironic that its called "Harmony" Central. The local musicians section of Craig's List has a fair bit of vulgarity and flaming as well. Very unharmonious at times. I guess it's the rock crowd, which says to me, directionless teens trying to find their way.
How do you prepare for the end of the world?
