Alba whistle review in a few days--a request
So, I'm gettin a bit weary of all of the "whistle review" drama...you know, the accusations of bias based on whether the whistle was free, who made it, whose butt I'm kissing, how crappy a player I am, etc. I took nearly a month off of reviewing to kind of recharge.
A few days ago, I wrote Stacey to let her know I'd be reviewing a couple Albas that have made it into my posession, and I had some questions (as I usually do when reviewing a whistle).
So, please, if you have any questions, or want to accuse me of bias, or make fun of me, or want to offer to punch me in the head ( ) please, can we do it now, so that when I get finished with the review, I can post it relatively drama free?

Let me just say, that I hope you don't hesitate to continue to do these reviews. I know they have helped me with several decisions I've made as far as whistle purchases, and I plan to continue to consult them in the future. And I know I'm not alone . So, in spite of all those silly people that have make controversy, remember that some of us appreciate your hard work. Keep it up!
oh Lana Turner we love you get up

I'd like to hear more subjective stuff. Like, how it made you feel, what way it inspired you to play, whether you are eager to pick it up for certain types of tunes, whatever. I like the pictures, nice clear closeups are great.

Hey Greg -
Dont let the miserable XXXXXXX
with their heads half up their own XXXXX
gobbing truck loads of XXXX,
get to you.
There are two types of people in this world -
(a) Those who go ahead and do things -
and
(b) those mean minded miserable little
people, without mothers, who dislike
the doers for being leaders - and fill
the emptiness in their useless lives by
bad mouthing the doers.
Your suit (above)
is ready for collection at the cleaners

- Tell us something.: Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Part of what I love about celtic/folk style music is the sound of a handful of handmade instruments that remind me of simpler times.

Greg, I think most of us have learned that everyone has there own taste in whistles. What is important about you being consistent in the way you review whistles, is that it gives us a reference point. For instance, if we have played whistles and have the same opinion, based on the keypoints you offer up in your review, then we have a common ground. That gives us confidence to know that if you review a whistle we haven't played, that gives us a reference point to go by.
Thanks for your hard work, and I look forward to more reviews!!
