Where is your house ?

Post by MarcusR »

Here is my house. I tried to center it as much as I could.
If you look very closely you can catch part of me next to the garage beside the lawn mover. :D

Our house

Use the zoom out option (-) and you will get a good idea of my location.

Now, where is your house?

There is no such thing as tailwind -- it's either against you or you're simply having great legs!

Try Google Earth, it's really very cool.

Sadly, on Google Earth and all the web-based map proggies, my flat doesn't exist. Seems all the aerial photographs of Swindon are years out of date :( Guess we weren't much of a nookerler target in these parts. All I get is an empty field where my place is now.

Google earth only provides a very blurred low resolution image of the area in which even towns and roads are barely recoginisable, where the house is you can only guess at.

I can provide this though, as a lower altitude shot:

Just type this:

48 51' 08.48''N, 2 23' 27.19"E

In Google earth or Google map. It is my house ;)

I guess I don't have to worry about the American NSA snooping in my backyard any time soon. I don't know if this is the best resolution they have, or just what was available to Google.

39 11' 50.09"N
84 33' 32.69"W

The picture is at least 2 years old (we took that tree down in the front yard late in 2003).

Ha,
This is ours:

It's the corner shaped building right in the centre. We live just a bit left from the corner. Third floor.
This is fun.

I guess I'm not very good at working google maps, or they just don't have a picture, or something, but this is the closest I could come. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Spotsylva ... rt=0&hl=en Letter "E" is where I work, and I don't live far from there.

Tell us something.: I've picked up the tinwhistle again after several years, and have recently purchased a Chieftain v5 from Kerry Whistles that I cannot wait to get (why can't we beam stuff yet, come on Captain Kirk, get me my Low D!)

You know, one of these days amar's going to have a nervous breakdown and see nothing but pink.
And it will be all our fault! :P
