Have you made the acquaintance of Mrs. June Longbottom, the lady who shared her recipe in the article above? :)

Looks scary to me :o

It's terrifying, and . . . frankly . . . it looks positively unhygienic! Goodness only knows the . . . the . . . the environment it has been exposed to! I wouldn't want my dainty parts anywhere near it . . .

That extended wand retracts under the seat when not needed. You are probably right though...how gross...I'd much rather have my fingers (protected by thin toilet paper ) in direct contact with or close proximity to such an unhygienic area...yeah, right...ha ha ha :o

Well, I think Lamby has a point and I had wondered about this before.

Erm...how can I put this? Okay, the wand is retracted. You do your thing. You use the lever to position wand. You use the other thing to spray water. Water goes up. Water and other materials come down onto wand and possibly all over the place. Do you just keep spraying until everything, not just you, is totally rinsed off? What if the spray, after it hits you, ricochets under the seat? Onto the floor? Is the water coming out of the wand going to be guaranteed not to have germs from the wand in it?

I think it is a good idea. And if I had difficulties I would surely prefer this to having someone help me, but I just would worry about it being difficult to keep clean. Are you gonna have to get in there with a toothbrush?(Like my bathroom now is so pristine.)

Seriously, I think that the possibility of solid materials being sprayed around would make this not suitable for women. Bacteria from solid materials are actually a common source of infection for women.

My only worry, how long until the water warms up?

Gawd, Cynth, I admire your down-to-earth approach in this matter as in all others, but, but...get in WHERE with a toothbrush....?

I.D.10-t, I hadn't thought of that. Imagine a freezing night in a little cabin in northern Minnesota when the water is so cold it hurts to brush your teeth. I'm not sure a person could take that. Mercy!

Don't worry, Steve. We'd only use the very softest bristles.

Exactly, and I thank you, Cynth, for being brave enough to state it so plainly.

What's wrong with a nice Cottonelle moist wipe, anyway?

I've never understood what to do with a bidet, either, but from what I can see, the potential for infection is extreme! Goodness only knows what you'd catch from one of those! Brrrr!

I went for the expensive super premium paper here in Windsor because palm trees don't have pine cones and banana leaves are...well..just too big! Sadly though it is very expensive because we have to buy it from ah..ahem..traders from the independent duchy of Pelee Island which is just off shore from America.

From Canada's Banana Belt
