Wow. Quite a number of Weather Channel junkies here. Who's your favorite weather channel person? The best looking is IMHO the girl who does the weekend morning shows. Hillary Andrews. Smokin!!!!

My favorite is Dave Schwartz in the wee hours. Kind of comical. During the last hurricane he called it the Hurricane Channel.

And you know if Jim Cantori comes to your town it's time to evacuate.

No TV chez moi, for 5 years now. I do watch DVDs on my PC though.

I am a History Channel whore.

Although, I also watch A LOT of TBN--just to see Jan Crouch's hair, of course.

I feel kinda sorry for her. She thinks people take her seriously.

I really admire all her work with starving children in Haiti, but when she's on television the only thing people ever comment on is her hair (or lack thereof--I'm rather positive it's a wig).

Is it still purple? I used to watch her once in a while too when we had cable, for the same reason. That and her eyelashes...I've never seen such long eyelashes, and I was always wanted to catch it when she poked herself in the eye with one of them while blinking. :P

Yes. It's purplish-pink. But sometimes in the right (or wrong) light it is yellow-looking.

There are other shows that I watch on the TBN channel, too, but Jan Crouch is the most entertaining (even though it's not supposed to be).

You're not a Toronto fan are you djm? People up here are trying to think what on earth your GM is thinking. The Leafs are starting to look like a trauma ward.

House
Law & Order
CSI (Las Vegas only)
The Closer - a new cop show on TNT with a good comic sense
The Daily Show
We watch no TV news, especially the local "news". I wonder how they can spend so much money and produce such an inferior product...

I see some of the Chiffers watch unreality programs. My wife and I often speculate on who watches that sh--, uh, crap. Must be some redeeming content there that I haven't found.

The History Channel isn't really reality tv--well, yes it is, sort of. But not in the way most people mean "reality tv."

Sometimes I wonder if it shouldn't be called The World War Two Channel. That's all that's on there a lot of the time.

Amazing Race isn't like most reality tv. It's fun watching other people get all frazzled while travelling. No sex or drama, just people racing around the world.

You've got to bear in mind that for the US this & the subsequent years constitute more than 1/4 of the available history.

In the UK we have somewhat more available - hence the live footage of the Norman Wisdom Conquest, Battle of Trafalgar Square, Wars of the Poseurs etc.
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that schwing
