My Grandma just had a stroke and is in hospital.

A scan shows that her brain is covered in blood. Perhaps that means it was an aneurism. She needs to be transferred to Tulsa. St. Francis Hospital was too full, so some time has been wasted finding another hospital, but they are now in process of taking her to Tulsa.
I am sure she and Grandpa would appreciate any kind thoughts or prayers.
These are the grandparents I lived with when I first started in American high school, and also I lived with them for a year after I graduated. In fact, I was living with them at the time my grandfather on the other side of the family had his major stroke.

My prayers and best wishes are with you and your family. Never get down on yourself, and stay very supportive of everyone. About three months ago, my grandma fell ill, and this was the prognosis: diabetes, respiratory failure, low oxygen, congestive heart failure, obstructive sleep apnea, and neuropathy (just to name a few). Doctors had "done everything they could", and said that now it was only a matter of time. Well, she wasn't about to give up, and is now in a rehabilitation center, on a slow but steady trek towards recovery. She has no idea what happened, other for the fact that she was SICK. Granted, she isn't triathlon-running material. Just don't get down on yourself, at least in front of family. I never let my family see that I had cried, because it would just weaken everybody's spirits. We're all here for you Walden.

Hi walden, sorry to hear about your ma.
My mother had several strokes and one of them neurismy things also. She took quite a while(6months) to recover physically with her arm and leg,fingers etc. Her biggest hurdle was(and still is) some mental kind of block thing that i think was associated with the aneurismy thing. for example i might ring home on a monday and she would shout out to my dad that "david" or "ciaron" (or any other name except mine) is on the phone!
She also gets everyday phrases mixed up, she has good days and bad days.
i asked her on one of her good days to describe how she felt and she said she knows what she wants to say but it comes out all cryptic and blocked, then she gets frustrated about it.
She taught me to have serious patience and listen to everything she says, and if it comes out wrong ....... wait, and shell try it again and it might come out right this time.
Anyway thats what my ma is going through(age 62).

By the way folks, if you are able to move a mouse and type and learn/play an instrument then you should give thanks to whoever yor deity be!
