I have to say, I'm not a fan of the colour... but.. it seems... to be growing on me...
It's like the difference between a lady all decked out in some extravagant bright pink dress and a calm, quiet lady in a nice understated dress. It's a different kind of sexy. Stately, but with a hint that things could get faster... and the curves...
Normally, I'd o for something like a bright red or (preferably) a nice deep yellow (darker than lemon, but not brown), but I never liked how those cars looked with the tops up. (Silly if they're white, sort of bee-ish if black). But that colour... it goes well with black. It could be a shade lighter.... hmmm... no.... After the flat set....
Tell us something.: I used to play pipes about 20 years ago and suddenly abducted by aliens. Not sure why... but it's 2022 and I'm mysteriously baack...
Tell us something.: I've picked up the tinwhistle again after several years, and have recently purchased a Chieftain v5 from Kerry Whistles that I cannot wait to get (why can't we beam stuff yet, come on Captain Kirk, get me my Low D!)
WOW!
You shoulda kept those!! All of them are extremely rare, and in the case of the Messerschmitt, will fetch a high collectors value even in unrestored condition!!! You cant find the Messerschmitt or the Honda 300 for love nor money.

Runs on Air. Literally. Compressed Air Engine. No pollution. Uses a liter of vegetable oil that gets changed once every 50,000 km. What a turn on.

(:boggle: what was that? who said that? huh? speak up, i can't hear you!!)
*ahem!* as i was saying...

Absolutely!
When the day finally came that the maintenance on my classic 280-Z became too much for me, I sobbed wretchedly.
I occasionally see it around town, fully restored. I know it is mine by the tiny crease in the front bumper that it got when it rolled into a pine tree. It appears to be happy and doing well, and I believe it still remembers me.
To this day, I air-clutch and try to downshift, especially on tight, downhill curves. Sigh. Driving it was a Fine Experience. I still miss it.
I think the looks of a Lotus 11 in plain aluminum is really sexy, even sexier then that gullwing mercedes 300SL coupé, my definite number two. Here's a pic of a Lotus 11 in a racy one-seat version, even more sexy but you can't impress any girls with it by giving them a lift. And I don't really know if this one is streetlegal. Anyway, I would even be willing to trade my Overton for one of these.
