Alan reaches a milestone!

Post by susnfx »

Congratulations to one of our moderators, Alan, who has now posted 150 times! (And not all of those were just prior to locking a thread.)

For those of you who know Alan from the chat room, you'll agree that this is approximately how talkative he is there, too. ;)

Alan rocks!

Alan has amazing restraint. He's a gentleman but would be the last to admit it.
How do you prepare for the end of the world?

He's a master of the pun and, if you ply him with enough liquor, will dance on the table with a lampshade on his head...come to think of it, he'll do it without the liquor.

(I suppose we could have waited for 200 posts, but that could take years!)

Anyone who can remain moderate in this place deserves a round of applause. :D

Actually, Susan, I've seen him dance on the ceiling--can't remember now whether it was with or without the tea cozy on his head.

Congratulations, oh man of many words!

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Tell us something.: This is the first sentence. This is the second of the recommended sentences intended to thwart spam its. This is a third, bonus sentence!

Every time I've gone to the chat room there's nobody there.
I'm no longer trying a new posting paradigm

We do. His name is Alan. You have to wear the right hat (a fedora will not get you in) and say the password (usually something to do with insect parts) to get in.

The chat room hasn't been as active in the last few months as it used to be. You're more likely to find people there from, say, 10:00 p.m. eastern U.S. time to midnight or later.

Seriously, though, Alan is a super guy with a wonderful sense of humor who puts up with endless ribbing (especially from the occasional Bloomfield). Now if he'd just stop pinching Moonlight behind the sofa to make her squeal...

So far he's keeping true to form by not responding to this post... as of yet that is. :D

Is being silent in chat like being invisible in a nudist camp?

Good one, Alan.
