firstly i know a few mcauls from cavan town, maybe hes related.
does he play any trad himself?? do you ever be in cavan?

I asked his brother if they have any relatives in Cavan town and he said there's a lot of McCauls around but not necessarily related.

John (my fiancee) is actually in Cootehill right now on vacation. He's learning the banjo but he wouldn't be playing in sessions or anything yet. I was there for New Years this year, and spent a few weeks there last summer, but no immediate plans to head over there any time soon...Might go again for New Years next year...

Do you play in sessions in Cavan? I bet you know that crazy drummer Richard, huh?

I think it's Sten, not Stang. I've played with him in Mulligan's in Amsterdam a few times. Excellent piper.

I was impressed by the banjo player's Guinness glass of urine in pic 6 - he obviously didn't want to miss anything by going to the can! :lol:

i havent met stef yet, only emailed him etc through thesession.org
he was kind enough to host some stuff for me.
im headin to cobblestones now and he plays there fri nights so ill meet him 2nite hopefully and get him a beer or 2!
