Praise Whistlers

Post by Dana »

Hello Praise Whistlers:

I'm sorry to say that our host has had a server "hardware failure" and lost everything from the board. On top of that, our automatic back-up system that we had in place has also failed.

Our plan is to change hosts ASAP (to a more reliable host!) and get started again. We plan to put measures in place so nothing like this will happen again. Please bear with us as we work on this. We'll put up a notice on the board webpage soon. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi Dana,
Thanks for letting us know. We've had "fresh starts" before and grown better each time haven't we?
I have really missed the PWA!

Thanks for all the hard work and effort , Dana ! Glad to hear that things are on the mend. Sure miss having PWA for a place to visit with friends !
But , as Mack said , we'll be there and stronger for the experience.

Just got back from vacation to find the web page down. I'm glad to find out that things will be getting back online, and better than ever. I sure miss the board.

Oh, vacation was great. Pennsylvania hills, a log cabin, and a pennywhistle. Need I say more?

Tell us something.: Used to live in Gilbert, AZ which is a suburb of Phoenix. Recently moved to Portland OR. Argh. Not sure if this is meeting the requirement of number of characters, but I'm trying.

Mack is right ..... this isn't fun ... but a fresh start is exciting .... hmmm.... seems I had a "fresh start" once .... and several times since then. It always made a big difference in my life.... perhaps this fresh start will as well.

Yes thanks Dana. :)

I'll be checking to see when the new board goes up!

Connie, Where were you in PA? Sounds like Cook Forest.

Cheers,
Kathy :)

Thanks for the information, Dana!

Let us know if there's anything we can do to help the situation. I'm not very computer literate, but willing -- if not able ... :)

Fresh starts are good.

In the mean time, I've set up a board for us to use till we get a new server. It's here: http://praisewhistlers.proboards57.com

The "interim" board sure helps. Thanks for doing that.
