:sniffle: A simple "thank you for writing a song for my tattoo" would have been sufficient, Amar.

As you can see, Wanderer suggested that we needed a song and jsluder suggested the tune (the Barney Song).

I'm sorry that it wasn't better, but the raw material I was working with isn't too hot, either. Beloved though it may be. Certainly one of my favorite songs . . .

A gay and sprightly tune it should be..

How 'bout this one?
http://www.ilovewavs.com/TV/ChilShow/Ba ... Theme].wav
And, no, the words I reworked were not "This Old Man." They were the words to Barney's Theme:
I love you,
You love me,
We're a happy family,
With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you,
Won't you say you love me, too.

I love you,
You love me,
We're best friends like friends should be,
With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you,
Won't you say you love me, too."
I thought everyone would see that.

Sniff.

Perhaps you may need this advice: When your children bring you weeds from the yard because they think they're pretty flowers, repress the urge to say "Ugh! Get those nasty weeds out of this house!" If you can't bring yourself to say the weeds are lovely, just say you appreciate their thoughtfulness. Ridicule isn't what's called for.
sooooorrrrrryy...didn't want to hurt your feelings here!!
thank you for the song. :)
all i just meant was that the melody, the original melody of that tune was this old man. :)
i honestly did not ridicule you!

Lambchop - I bet every parent who read this understood the reference!

Barney used to be my daughter's favorite TV show. Now, of course, if we happen to run across it we have to switch the channel very quickly!

Or run screaming from the room. Of course, I do that whenever I hear that obnoxious captain at the beginnning of Sponge Bob, too. At least Sesame Street has SOME adult appeal!!! :D

Far and away, Sesame Street is the best kids program IMHO! But every now and then, if I really want to totally mess up my head, I'll watch the Teletubbies. :D

Luckily by the time Teletubbies and Sponge Bob came along my daughter had outgrown the little kid's shows. :D

Ah, for the classics like Captain Kangaroo! :P

And not a tattoo in sight!

Oh the humanity! Here I told my wife, "You know, Missy and Tom are really great people."

But now I find that you don't like Spongbob Squarepants. Oh the humanity.

I also like Jimmy Neutron.

My kids can't stand Spongebob. They tell my granddaughter that Spongebob is evil.

Ha! You Johnny-come-lately you. Nothing matches Noggin The Nog. Ah, I can hear it now - "I'll tell you a tale that the Northmen told as they sat by their fire in the long winter evenings..."
