First Annual Chiff & Fipple Avatar Gurning Competition.

Post by perrins57 »

Always keen to bring culture and class to the forum, I thought I'd instigate the First Annual Chiff & Fipple Avatar Gurning Competition. For those who are not aware, Gurning is the ancient British art of placing a horse’s collar around your neck and making a face like the other end of a horse. This stuff is taken pretty seriously in some parts of the UK. :o
Traditionally the winner was probably burnt at the stake as a witch, but I thought in this case the winner could achieve the right to use the letters UCAG (Undisputed Champion of Avatar Gurning) after their name in all CHiff & Fipple postings for one year.
To the left is my effort (no that’s not how I normally look, honest!)
Come and have a go if you think you're ugly enough!

Mark, just in case that avatar doesn't show the whole photo I want your assurance, here and now, that we will never see the rest of it. It puts me too much in mind of our 'seat up/seat down' discussion. :D

Having now studied some of the great names in gurning, Tommy Mattinson, Peter Jackman, etc., I believe I may have to work on it.
I'm no longer trying a new posting paradigm

Sigh... I was about to post the hands-down winner for an avatar resembling the south end of a north-bound horse, but then I tremembered I'd be jumped on for turning this into a political discussion, so I won't. :D

PS... but his initials are KR

Thanks for the public service announcement.
Do Nanhedron's have a face? ("A fusion protein therefore carries two parts, each with a strong tendency to associate with other copies of itself. As a consequence of this design, many identical copies of the fusion protein self assemble into a highly symmetric object or extended material we call a protein nanohedron or a protein nanohedral material".)

Jsluder is definitely in the lead so far.

Not exactly gurning I think, but Fatso the big-arsed wombat is just about to receive an anal probe.
