Whistle Gathering
I plan to be there. I don't know yet if anyone will accompany me, but there are possibilities. I'm going to try and find my orange shirt; it seemd to have worked well last year.
Will Paul be bringing along his concertina ?? Is he still interested in instructional books for that instrument ??
I don't really care if Bloomfield OR Gunther shows up, just so long as one of them brings the big tool box full of pipes.

Rene, I don't know the answer, but do you think one of those new-fangled camp chairs would help? We keep them for hurricanes--they're really comfortable. Better than lawn chairs. They pop open and provide good seating with a high back you can lean into. If you had a picnic cooler, you could put your legs up.roycustomknives wrote:Tyghress,
Is there alot of walking.... places to sit down..I am recouping from a severe leg infection..and using a cane...so walking isn't that good right now.

I've seen excellent ones at places like Bed, Bath, and Beyond. They're not terribly expensive, either--your basic model is only 7.99.
Here's a somewhat alarming ergonomic version.

Re: Whistle Gathering
I'm still pretty poor on the concertina, but I'll bring it if anyone thinks they'd like to try it out. If you have books, I'd be curious to see them.RamblDoc wrote: Will Paul be bringing along his concertina ?? Is he still interested in instructional books for that instrument ??

Hey, we ought to get some of those stick on "Hello, my name is..." labels so we can put our C&F names on them along with our real ones. I'll pick up a pack if people like the idea.

Rene, DON'T bring the knives! Please don't bring the knives....I'm weak willed and in love with Damascus steel.
I don't think there is much in the way of seating...so if there is something you can bring we will certainly move it here to there and back so you can be where the action is.
Hope to see you again..............
