Extreme Good News from Bill Whedon
This is nothing to do with Serpent Music. It is to do with me, Bill Whedon. As some of you know, I went into hospital in December with CHF (Congestive Heart Failure), a severely enlarged heart, and a rather nasty blood clot in the left ventricle. My GP and Cardiologist both agreed that I was probably only days from death, if that long.
I just wanted to announce that the results of yesterday's echocardiogram have confirmed that my heart is back to normal size (though the walls are still a bit thicker than normal), and, best of all, the blood clot is gone! My sincere thanks go out to both of my physicians (Dr. Dana Granberg, Dr. Dak Burnett), and to the wonderful populace of Chiff and Fipple, who have been so kind to me in the intervening months.
I also want to let everyone know that my NZ friend was released from hospital yesterday following her first operation of two, and is recovering at home for a month or two prior to going back in for the cardio situation. She is in good spirits, and many of you are responsible for much of that, so from me, and from her, THANK YOU!!
If anyone still wishes to contribute to her fund, please contact me via the support email on my site, or look it up here on C&F. Those who are awaiting the Brassy Polly whistles, I am still working on the batch, but expect they'll be done in the next couple of weeks.
Dale Wisely, this is an incredibly wonderful resource you're responsible for, and I want to thank you, personally, for continuing Chiff and Fipple.
Best to everyone,
Bill Whedon

I'm really happy to know that you're OK. I have been reading old posts, many WTT you started, a lot of very interesting technical info... and I was worried that now you were not posting so often. Thought your heart could be giving you some trouble...
So, glad to have you back!
Now that you have reborn, I'm sure you will enjoy the smell of the trees and flowers, the feel of the wind and the rain, and most important: The sound of the whistles!!

That's excellent, Bill. Continue to take care of yourself, but not to an extent that precludes having a bit of fun, preferably a lot of fun.
