I have a silly question
and it may even be OT ( ) but the inquiring minds of the non whistle playing faction of Casa Izz want to know the answer. I have my own opinions, but who do YOU all think is the very best whistle player out there? I tried to convince them all that I am, but of course they didn't buy it Smart group I have here it seems
So, what are your answers?

Now Dub, despite the fact that I'm asking a silly question, I'm still trying to ask an honest question. Besides, that picture really scares medubhlinn wrote:I have a silly answer.
Slan,
D.
Not to mention that I don't think anyone will buy that answer either

Probably some little old fella who's never left his own little area and never gets heard by anyone who would realise he's the best in the world.izzarina wrote:who do YOU all think is the very best whistle player out there?
May the joy of music be ever thine.

Could be close enough that one.jbarter wrote:Probably some little old fella who's never left his own little area and never gets heard by anyone who would realise he's the best in the world.izzarina wrote:who do YOU all think is the very best whistle player out there?
Well, you warned us about the silly question bit. maybe you are looking for a too definitive 'best'.
It's a bit hard giving an answer considering the number of fine whistleplayers we may not have heard.
I have a CD here that is about to be launched in a few weeks of MY favourite whistleplayer. Most of you won't even know the name.

I wouldn't really expect you to answer this and possibly give away the surprise, , but is this player male or female?Peter wrote:I have a CD here that is about to be launched in a few weeks of MY favourite whistleplayer. Most of you won't even know the name.
I'm not that experienced at listening, but I would put in a word for Cathal McConnell. I have the first volume of his tutorial, and I have to say that what he does with some rather "easy" tunes made him stand out in my mind. He didn't make them real fancy, but he turned them into music that I really could not imagine being any better.

Female. And I've sat in her kitchen and have played tunes in C with her. She on my Sindt C, Peter on his C set, and I on the old Walton C.Cynth wrote:I wouldn't really expect you to answer this and possibly give away the surprise, , but is this player male or female?Peter wrote:I have a CD here that is about to be launched in a few weeks of MY favourite whistleplayer.
