Kirk Lynch 3/4 set in D.
Ebony and rosewood mounts. 1991, '92, '93 vintage. (Chanter, drones, regs respectively)

Full set in D.
Chris Langan chanter in Lignum Vitae. One of the last ones he made - lovely! :)
Alan Ginsberg drones and regs. Mid 1980's vintage I think?

One of these D sets really should go to make room for a flat set!

Is there a smug basmati emoticon
Seriously I'm getting to grips with the 4th reg weigh issue. I have replaced the bag and that has made a big difference to the playability of the set.
You got to mess about with positioning a lot to get the regs comfortably.
Still having fun :) and pain :( and fun :) and pain :( and more fun :D and more paaaain

Ben, have you tried tying helium balloons at strategic point on the set. I reckon 10-12 should do it.

It solves two issues at once.

Weight is dramatically reduced and...... you don't look like a "smug basmati" any more. :D :D :D

Ever thought about using a shoulder strap? Seriously, I believe it will go a long way to reducing the weight of it across your lap, in addition to bringing ALL of the regs a little closer to you wrist.

At least the lignum vitae pipes won't break! Even with 12 balloons strapped to it and dropped from a great height!
Without piping, life would be a mistake...

Does anyone have a number of how many K&Q sets are made/ being played??? D'Arcy, Cannady and Wolverton ( sounds like a law firm) have one in various makeup and pitch. Any one else? Or should this be a new thread???

Narrow D Brad Angus and a borrowed (thanks Tom) Rogge D with a Lucky Ganesh Brand(TM) full set.

Soon to be a Boisvert 1/2 set in cocobolo which will then slowly turn into a 3/4 set.

Alain Froment full set in D (with a fourth drone in A).
I play also a flat set in B by Dave Williams, but I prefer the Froment set.
