Poll: how tall are we?

Post by Jack »

I was inspired by this post, which asks us about our ages:

http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php?t=29399

And likewise, I am interested to know if the whistlers here are short or tall or inbetween.

:poke:

Oh, and by the way--does anybody know if Waltons ever started making nickel mellow Ds again? I really like the brass ones but prefer nickel.

Tell us something.: Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Part of what I love about celtic/folk style music is the sound of a handful of handmade instruments that remind me of simpler times.

Tell us something.: Longtime member of Chiff and Fipple. I own/have owned more whistles than a person should, I think. But I’m not complaining.

I don't know if they do or not, but if they do I'll bet they only sell them to short whistlers.

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

Cranberry, I would consider the above a list of compliments. I've been all the above and found them singularly gratifying.
The Walrus

What would a wild walrus whistle if a walrus could whistle wild?

The second mouse may get the cheese but the presentation leaves a lot to be desired.

HERETIC!--definitely

RABBLE-ROUSER!--rarely. The rabble around here rouses itself quite well.

INFIDEL!--Many would think so.

DISSIDENT!--often

RENEGADE!--It's the only way to live!

RECORDER PLAYER!--not since 2nd grade.

I'm glad that there are finally some people who put themselves in the 5'1" -5'5" category (if it is that category...I don't remember now). I was feeling rather short :P

Oh, and I don't know about the Waltons, cran. Sorry.

I used to work with a lady who was under five feet tall. She wasn't a small person in the politically correct sense, she was just a small person. She was our biscuit maker, but she couldn't reach the top rack of the oven, so we just never used it. If we accidentally put a pan up there she had to find something to stand on or ask somebody else to get it down for her.
