Discussion Forum, Kerry Whistle Style.

Phil Hardy, who moderates his own discussion forum over at Kerry Whistles, has been busy. His post "Spillane Low D" (the one in which he calls chiff & fipple names) was first renamed "Bully for Dale" then vanished. Now the thread is back to Spillane Low D, the post is gone, but was preserved by Brian Howard. Posts by someone called "open_minded" was first edited, and is now completely removed.

I don't want to comment on what Phil does over on his board or how it chimes with what he demands and proclaims here on the chiffboard. But since it relates to the Spillane whistle and the "figments of Bloomfield's mind," I thought it belongs in this thread.

I think this is why you won a posting prize. Your mind is so deep I cannot understand what you are talking about. But that is okay, let's operate on a need-to-know basis. And I don't need to know, whew.

Looking through the various posts brought back memories of my father.
He ran his own business and the "House Rules " were:

You don't talk religion or politics with customers, and never pass comment on your competitors.

It seemed to work.

*Yawn*...

Tempest in a teapot compared to when someone starts slagging off a pipemaker over on the UP board.

All that is missing from this thread is the musical score,it deserves one. Something deep, brooding.

Two things: 1) I'm glad this thread is still going, because the initial post is so surpassingly excellent. If the ensuing goofiness serves to keep it at the top of the page for stragglers to read, all the better. And 2) I forgot to say that I really liked the playing in the clips. :)

Tell us something.: I've been with Chiff and Fipple since shortly after I bought my first low D. I've learned loads from this community, and I intend to continue to learn and contribute. Many thanks to Dale and everyone who makes this site happen.

Everybody who has been fully assimilated, at least.
