Ah. The rarely-seen mandrillfinch. Not native to these shores. (And not to be mistaken for the more common Norwegian Blue, which is a parrot and not a member of the finch family).

It would seem to me that something that is one of a kind is very close to extinction, which is not how I'd choose to advertise my company.

I've heard even large hawks are no match for the mandrillfinch.
I'm no longer trying a new posting paradigm

Can anyone else see the creator of the ad sitting in his office going "Now what kind of slogan would justify using this picture..."

It is disturbing, yes. I could have done without seeing it today.

Sorry, Peggy... next time just don't click on a thread with "is this disturbing" in the title.

Those who find this disturbing had better not ask me about some of the weirder things I know about genetic engineering. Well, in case you were wondering, as far as I know this little sucker couldn't have been engineered.

OOOOOooooo! You want to be careful about mandrillfinch bites 'cause they fester and turn every shade of color known, and some that are unknown. Eventually the infected area simply falls off and becomes another mandrillfinch.......... nasy, nasty stuff that.
