I listened to this feckin CD 20 times already and have done 140 years worth of listening!
Give a man a wooden reed and he'll play in the driest of weather,
Teach a man to make a wooden reed,
and the both of ye will go insane!

Hey Pat,

Do you think you might be bringing some copies to sell at the Great Northern Irish Piper's Club Tionol in May (although I'm not sure I can wait that long)?

Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

Please do, Pat!

Of course GNIPC will expect their usual cut for inventory, warehousing, and "protection" :D

Very tight dulling there I might add.

I couldn't pick up the (actual) names of the tunes clearly. As they seem to have been renaimed. Care to comment Patrick. By any chance is it a 6/8?

Cheers L42B :)

Hi L42B....

They are reels and the "reel" name is "Teampall an Ghleanntáin". The Hairy Reel is what the boys called it on the night - represented the evenings feel a bit better I thought :)

UPDATE: I spent the morning at the post office sending out all your CD's. You should be receiving them very soon.

Thanks for all the orders so far, it is appreciated very greatly! ....and for those that haven't ordered one yet.... you are bad people ;) ... get your checks written and sent to me... they aren't going to be around forever! Only 200 pairs have been made so you get the idea :)

Not having shown up with them for 2 weeks now, you better be holding copies for me & Joey. If you'd rather by mail, then let's do that.

HAHA! I have some in my case for you specifically.... but.... I will be in Nashville this weekend so I won't be around again. If you want to do a check via mail that's cool. I'll email you the details. Oh... I am planning on being at the Ciunas www.ciunas.net gig tomorrow night. If you plan on going I'll bring a few along?

My copy of this arrived yesterday, and I really haven't stopped listening to it since... except for bed-time... and after a strong glare from She who must be obeyed. :D

Great stuff Patrick et al.!!! I found the sound to be well mixed... I almost felt as though I was in attendance at the concert. Thanks very much!

Just got mine today. Mick and Kevin are in good form. Its too bad you couldn't get Benedict to do some solos. I know he is mic-shy, but he really is a fine player in his own right. Maybe next year ...
