It's so strange that Zubvika is on that list. I haven't seen him around in at least a year!

I'd like to say that just a smile icon does not qualitfy as a legitimate post. These kind of frivolous posts should then be deducted from the final tally. I have to admit that I worry about the people who hang out at C&F throughout the day, bumping up large post numbers. It reminds me of my father, who is obsessive-complusive. I want to say, "Get a life!", but I don't want to offend any of my friends. Can anyone remember life before the internet? I was reading books, which I hardly do anymore, I am sorry to say.

I do, too. :sniffle:

I can remember it. And it makes me very sad about the books, because I can completely relate. I still read a lot, but it's less than I could/should due to the computer.

Never thought I'd be on a level playing field with Zubivka (our totals are exactly the same). I always kinda like Zoob, but I think he thought C&F was a little too immature.

It is, and it's all amar's fault.

Like Doug said for Dale to not count "smiley" posts, I really wouldn't mind if the moderators went through and deleted more of the "fluff" posts every now and then. Bloomfield once told me that every year between Christmas and New Years Dale and rich (Alan wasn't moderator then) went through and deleted a lot of older non-important threads, so I was looking for my post count to go way down.

Then I found out Bloomfield was just pulling my leg. :P

Also get rid of the test forum posts as part of the count.

YOU know who you are!!!!!

Here, after 2.5 years I'm still under 2000.
I'm no longer trying a new posting paradigm

Hehehehe....I agree, though.

I also don't see what the point is of keeping posts that are years and years old that say nothing more than "Can you believe the weather?" or "Which whistle should I buy?" Those posts are just dead weight.

I'm SO happy to see I've fallen (even below Dale!) to a much more respectable 30th place.

Cranberry deleted the contents of about the first 1500 posts (just left a period)---but which still show up as part of the totals. So really, Cranberry's post count total should only be around 3201. :D

You know Dale, a more informative post would be to list the top 25 posters, the number of posts, and the join date. I would like to see that.

You could also post the day this forum went up so that people can see how long it really took to accumulate all the posts.

And it'd be fun to see.
