To kick things off - I'm working on "The Four Courts" played by Tommy Martin off The Cobblestones CD

That's a nice recording...nice regs on that one.

I learned the South West Wind, too, recently (I forget who was working on that one) off of a recording I made from Willie Week last summer of Jimmy O'Brien Moran. I love that triplet on the A...

I am planning on learning everything on the Ronan Browne/ Peadar OLoughlin cds, cause they all seem like nice easy pipey tunes. I'm starting with the Boy in the Gap and the Steampacket. (If you are coming to John's on Sunday, Mike, we'll have to play that one).

The Boy in the Gap's a great tune Justine. Are you playing the two parter, or Paddy Taylor's 3 part version? The 3 parter sounds great on the pipes.

Ah...Repeal of the Union! I always LOVE that tune. I suppose it's from hearing Paddy Molony's piping of that tune on Chieftans 7!

Don't forget Tommy Keane's version on "The Wind Among The Reed's" also.... great CD to learn tunes from!

Right now I'm just learning the 2-part one Ronan Browne plays.
That 3-part one is on Paddy Taylor's recording, right? MurphyStout has that, so I'll have to borrow that and move on to part 3 (once I get the 2-part version down!)

If you're listening to Ronan Brown I strongly recommend his "the wynd that you know" album. His stuff with Peter O'Loughlin is a bit simpler (all great tunes, of course), whereas the Wynd album is more pipey, with loads of excellent reg work.
