Congratulations on the sale. I was very happy to see that the final bid was close to 1000 pounds.

So was i. The buyer, who was from the U.K. is a novice and has never played the pipes before but is a seasoned guitarist. I believe he will be attending the wednesday evening pipe classes in manchester.

Tell us something.: I am a walrus, I am a tea pot. John Lennon said that but people see him as a guru. Well, tell, you what he also almost became a piper asking Paddy Keenan to teach him. (bleep) got bored & went on the sitar and the rest is history.

Concert pitch, to add to my practice set. Now got to figure out how to pay for some regs.

I've got a question - not meant to be a criticism or a hidden jibe. On Howard's website, he advertises practice and half sets but not 3/4 or full sets. Does this mean he doesn't make regulators?

Busking: impromptu performance of music, theater, mime, puppetry, song, "performance art", etc. in a public space for loose change.

Some cynics would say it's performing in a public space until paid to go away.

Howard Regulators

Post by teirw »

Brian does make regs. Heather Clarke is still using the full set which she uses on her tutor, ( despite rumours to the contrary). He has completely redesigned them over the last two years and is supplying them now to those customers who have been waiting. He doesn't like the idea of a waiting list so he doesn't advertise them until they are in stock, or a wait of only weeks. He's working on mine amongst 10 others at present.

are you sure it's a full set? I thought it was a Howard half set :-?
No sign of the regs on any recording she did for the tutor book.
