Commonly played Slip Jigs?
I don't play any slip jigs (to be heard) yet but there only seem to be a handful of common ones I should learn. I have:
Fig for a Kiss
The Butterfly
Dusty Miller
Kid on the Mountain
Rocky Road to Dublin
The Snowy Path (?)
Are there any others people here play regularly?

slip-jigs
"An Phis Phliuch" - "Whinny Hills Of Leitrim"[ there are 2 tunes with the same name ] - "Hardiman The Fiddler" - "Humours Of Whiskey" - "Will You Come Down To Limerick ?" - "Maire Rua" - "Dever The Dancer" - all fairly common.
One I must learn is "A Trip To Killarney", which has about 5 or 6 parts.
If you want 2 Scottish 9/8 jigs, try "The Favourite Dram" or "Donald,Willie & His Dog".

Slip Jigs are my absolute favorites too.
Another good one to add to the list of fun to play is The Red Haired Girl from Dossan of Heather. That's a favorite of mine anyway.
I'm curious. Do those of us who are partial to Slip Jigs play fewer reels?
I fall in that catagory too.
