FONN-yeah gal an lay.

it's difficult to represent gaelic sounds phonetically in english but that's fairly close.

http://www.irishgaelictranslator.com/translation/
is a site offering help with the irish language.

Does anyone know the Irish gaelic word for 'flute' as in irish flute?

Feadog Mor.

Translates as Big Whistle..

Strange but true.. :boggle:

Slan,
D.
And many a poor man that has roved,
Loved and thought himself beloved,
From a glad kindness cannot take his eyes.
